Job description
We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and self-motivated Part-Time Project Consultant to join our team. The Project Consultant will play a key role in managing customer relationships, guiding customers through the selection process, and coordinating project details from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, excellent communication skills, have attention to detail, integrity, and a passion for delivering outstanding service.
In this role, you will be the primary partner for both contractor and residential customers in building out their project plan. You will be most successful when you are organized and attentive to customer needs and project details and ensure constant and effective communication with customers. You will garner necessary information about the project and guide the customer through your knowledge and experience to ensure the project result is exceptional and exceeds their expectations. This balance between inquisition and knowledge sharing will help as you build relationships and rapport with each individual person/project.
This role will be a 9:00-1:00 most Saturdays, plus two weekday shifts of 4-6 hours.
Responsibilities will include:
Client Consultation : Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints. Provide expert advice and guidance on natural and engineered stone countertop options, finishes, and design considerations.
Sales and Revenue Generation : Drive sales by effectively presenting product offerings, and closing projects to meet or exceed sales targets.
Project Management : Oversee the entire project lifecycle, reading and interpreting drawings, generating quotes, following up and managing timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Administration : Input, update, and maintain customer and project data into CRM system. Update metrics, gather and track data, and assist with inventory management. Answers phones.
Customer Relationship Management : Cultivate strong relationships with customers by delivering exceptional customer service, addressing concerns or issues promptly, communicating, and following up to ensure satisfaction. Prospect and build relationships with contractors, builders, realtors, and designers.
Collaboration : Coordinate with internal teams, including measure tech, fabricators, and installers, to ensure seamless project execution and a superior end product.
Market Research : Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to effectively position our products and services in the marketplace. Support strong company social media presence.
Ideal candidate will have:
One year experience in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related with a degree in those fields preferred.
Proven track record of success in sales or project management, preferably in the construction or home improvement industry.
Strong knowledge of stone countertops, materials, fabrication processes, and/or installation techniques is preferred.
Basic math skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
