We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team in the healthcare industry, specifically within hospitals and social assistance. The position is based in Mashpee, Massachusetts, United States. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle patient referrals and conduct insurance verifications
• Triage phone calls to ensure efficient communication within the healthcare facility
• Register patients and manage their records using EHR systems and Epic Software
• Follow up on patient scheduling to ensure seamless operations
• Use skills in answering inbound calls to provide excellent customer service
• Perform billing functions accurately to avoid any discrepancies
• Use knowledge of EHR SYSTEM to maintain accurate patient records
• Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally.• Proficiency in using EHR (Electronic Health Records) system for managing patient records and related administrative tasks
• Ability to promptly answer and professionally handle inbound calls from patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders
• Experience in billing functions, including processing patient payments and insurance claims
• Familiarity with Epic Software for streamlining administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, patient registration, and medical billing
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and staff, and maintaining a positive and welcoming environment
• Strong organizational abilities to keep patient records, appointment schedules, and billing details accurately and efficiently
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address patient inquiries and resolve any administrative issues that may arise
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and work under pressure during peak times
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices
• High ethical standards to ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with healthcare laws and regulations.
