Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Consulting with healthcare providers to understand their billing needs and offering tailored solutions.
• Handling all aspects of medical billing, including coding, charge entry, claim submission, payment posting, and follow-up.
• Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and other privacy laws.
• Reviewing and appealing unpaid and denied claims.
• Verifying patients' insurance coverage and explaining benefits and costs.
• Providing excellent customer service to patients, answering their billing questions, and resolving any issues.
• Training and mentoring other team members on medical billing procedures.
• Continually updating and improving billing procedures to increase efficiency and profitability.
• Collaborating with other finance team members to prepare forecasts and financial reports.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years experience in medical billing, preferably in a consulting role.
• Advanced knowledge of medical billing procedures and regulations.
• Proficiency in medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional customer service skills, with a proven ability to resolve issues and maintain strong client relationships.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor others.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Certification as a Medical Billing Specialist from an accredited institution is a plus.
