Role Description
Andrews & Rhodes LLP is seeking a full-time Legal Litigation Secretary to join our team in a remote capacity. The Legal Secretary will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and paralegals by preparing legal documents, managing calendars, and ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities. The successful candidate will utilize their clerical skills to assist in various legal tasks, contributing to the efficient functioning of our firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and format legal documents, pleadings, and discovery materials
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedules, and court deadlines
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals
  • Coordinate and organize meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements
  • Maintain and update client files and records
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Utilize Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Sage Timeslips for document management and timekeeping

Qualifications

  • Completion of a certificated legal secretarial program at an accredited college
  • Previous experience working as a legal secretary, preferably in civil litigation
  • In-depth understanding of legal procedures, documents, discovery, and pleadings
  • Proficiency in legal document preparation and strong clerical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple calendars, diaries, and schedules effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Sage Timeslips
