Job Description
We are seeking a skilled part time IT Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves assisting with strategic planning, project tracking, and the development of key documentation and presentations.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the design, management, delivery, enhancement, and modernization of our current network infrastructure projects.
This job description aims to attract candidates with a strong background in IT Project Management and a deep understanding of technology infrastructure projects, emphasizing the ability to provide detailed analyses and effectively communicate complex information.
Responsibilities - Provide expert advice, opinions, recommendations, and ideas to enhance IT project outcomes.
- Assist in managing and tracking the IT strategic plan, specific tasks, and broader projects.
- Help revise and maintain a detailed roadmap of IT infrastructure projects, ensuring prioritization and timely execution.
- Support project management activities, including documentation, stakeholder communication, and progress tracking.
- Conduct budget and cost analysis to ensure financial efficiency and effectiveness of IT projects.
- Participate in the development and review of IT policies, procedures, and technical standards.
- Engage in technical reviews and provide insights to optimize IT task implementations.
Requirements - Proven ability to articulate detailed, quantifiable recommendations both in writing and verbally.
- Solid experience and understanding of IT and Cybersecurity capabilities.
- Knowledge of integrating technology across physical, virtual, and cloud-based platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of clear and concise status reporting on multiple concurrent activities.
- Skills in Contract Analysis, Schedule Reviews, and Cost Estimation (i.e., Service Portfolio Management).
- Keen attention to detail with the ability to prepare program plans, conduct contract cost-analysis, and manage contracts, including budget and schedule development.
- Proficiency in using project management tools and developing IT-related policies and procedures.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field
- Preferred Certification: PMP certification or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
NOTE: Security clearance not required. A background check is conducted through Capitol Police to access the CBO network.
