Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Furniture Refinisher & Repair manager to oversee inventory projects or inventory repair workflow. The ideal candidate will have a passion for restoring and refinishing furniture to its former glory and have extensive knowledge in furniture repair techniques including structural repair, refinishing, custom designs, custom paint matching, custom stain, and basic upholstery.

Responsibilities:

• Proficient at planning, organizing, directing, and controlling furniture restoration and repair projects.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project execution.
• Analyze & diagnose furniture problems, identify optimal repair methods, and assess the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of solutions.
• Ability to train and mentor others in furniture repair techniques and best practices
• Refinish and restore various types of furniture pieces
• Repair scratches, dents, and other damages on furniture surfaces
• Apply stains, paints, and finishes to enhance and protect furniture
• Sand and strip old finishes from furniture as needed
• Inspect finished pieces to ensure quality standards are met
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goal

Skills:

• Proven experience as a Furniture Refinisher or similar role
• Knowledge of various wood types and finishes
• Proficiency in using woodworking tools such as sanders, saws, and drills
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
