Celebrate spring with a visit to the University of West Florida campus during the 15th Annual Festival on the Green on Friday and Saturday, March 27 & 28, 2015. Come be a part of Pensacola's rich history and diverse culture by experiencing a fine arts show, hand-made crafts, music, live performances, a book sale, food and Saturday's children's craft festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The closest parking for arts, crafts, music and entertainment is in Lots H or K, if full, try G, I, J or L. For athletic events or pool, park in Lots J, A, or E. For tennis matches, park in Lots I, J, K and L.

Bands on the Beach is at 7 p.m. and begins the first Tuesday in April and ends the last Tuesday in October.   October 28 - Not Quite Fab Since the 60s, music lovers worldwide have been captivated by the sounds of the Beatles. But you don't have to take a trip back in time or "Across the Universe" to experience the exhilarating rush of a live show. Northwest Florida's only Beatles Tribute Band, Not Quite Fab, returns to rock Bands on the Beach from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, for an evening of music and memories. From the moment they hit the stage, the band will shift you back into a time of peace, love and "Strawberry Fields Forever."   For over eight years as a tribute band, the members of Not Quite Fab have pulled influences not only from the Beatles’ unique sound but also from their looks. The band dons identical brand instruments, mop top wigs, suits and even Liverpool accents. Band members for 2013 are Dickie Williams as "Paul", Jim DeStafney as"George", Jeff Fitzpatrick as"Ringo" and Glenn Vignolo as "John".   Audience members can expect to hear their classic favorites such as "Hey Jude," "Come Together," "She Loves You," "A Hard Days Night," and many more.

With his high energy level when he hits the stage playing guitar, percussion, harmonica, and even singing and drumming at the same time makes a good time for anybody in the crowd to watch him perform!   Kyle Parker has been a well known name in the southern music scene for over a decade. Starting at 12 years of age playing in many local bars and restaurants and quickly gaining respect from some of the areas top musicians. Kyle first started drumming and singing with recording artist Bobby Purify a.k.a. Ben Moore who is now fronting the five time Grammy award winning Blind Boys of Alabama.

55th Pensacola Greek Festival

 PENSACOLA, May 14, 2014 - The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Pensacola is preparting for the 55th annual Greek Festival. The Pensacola Greek Festival is a staple of the Pensacola Bay area’s signature fall festival lineup, mixing southern hospitality with Hellenic culture and cuisine. Live Greek Music, youth folk dancing, and Church tours make 1720 West Garden Street into the place to be during the second weekend in October. PENSACOLA GREEK FESTIVAL - OCT 10th, 11th AND 12th, 2014 The 3 day cultural event provides an opportunity for the Pensacola Greeks to share their heritage, culture and faith with the local community. The event is held on the church grounds at 1720 West Garden Street under large tents and features a variety of delicious Greek dinners, pita wraps/sandwiches, coffee, desserts, drinks, and shopping in the Greek Market.  Hours are Friday from 11am- 10pm, Saturday from 11am- 10pm, and Sunday from Noon - 6pm.  As always, admission  to the festival is free. Sponsorship opportunities are available for individuals and businesses. The band is quite heavy in the improvised groove, is a bit unpolished, a tad southern-fried and a whole lotta rock and roll.

Bands on the Beach is at 7 p.m. and begins the first Tuesday in April and ends the last Tuesday in October.   September 2 - Southern Breeze Southern Breeze, formed by lead singer Ronny Miller, has been on the music radar nearly three decades and continues to get crowds going with their original brand of true southern honky tonk. The band experienced early success with the popular "Dixie Rose" album in 1983, which produced two top-forty singles, "She's a Lover" and "Just an Imitation." After touring across the southeast from 1984-1989, the band decided to take a break in 1990. Miller went on to release five more albums and had two number-one singles in the Indie-World charts.   The band, regrouped with some original members, brings their toe-tapping hits back to the beach for an unforgettable evening under the stars.

The Gallery at First City Art Center Hosts Artworks from Vicki Baroco's Private Collection

Vicki Baroco Private Art Collection

First City Art Center is hosting the Vicki Baroco Collection, an exhibition of local, national and international artists. The art is an eclectic collection of paintings and sculpture collected by Ms. Baroco since age 18.  When asked about the wide variety of work, Ms. Baroco, a true patron of the arts, said, “I collect what I like.”  Art in the collection runs the gamut from a Greek Icon to an African mask of beads and cowrie shells from the Kuba tribe of the Democratic Republic of Congo.  The Outsider Art of Toby Hollinghead, a whimsical driftwood sculpture by Chris Cumbie and works of art by well-known local artists will also be included in the exhibit.    Of the 45 works on display, more than half are of various other mediums from well-known local artists.                                                                     The Vicki Baroco Collection will be on exhibit from August 8 through September 8, with an opening reception set from 6 to 8 pm on August 8.  There is no charge for admission to the Gallery at First City Art Center, located at 1060 N. Guillemard St.   Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm.
